Unagi is looking for an innately strategic, results-oriented Head of Growth. A successful candidate must have the ability to develop and launch scalable processes that drive customer acquisition and retention and further elevate Unagi Scooter’s brand and reputation in an increasingly competitive market. This person is a strategic thinker with the ability to translate both quantitative and qualitative data into cohesive marketing strategies. This individual is capable of building and developing talent that will lead the company into long-term success and growth. An ideal candidate is an exceptional leader who is passionate about Unagi’s brand and eager to elevate it to the next level.


How you’ll lead

  • Forecasting: Works with the CMO, CFO, and CEO to create a robust growth forecast for the D2C and All-Access (subscription) lines of business, including revenue, units, CAC, and product share.

  • Growth Roadmap: Create, maintain, and execute on, a roadmap of growth initiatives which will be the backbone driving our forecasting. Ensure key indicators such as traffic, organic search, reach, and ad spend, align with organizational financial goals.

  • Paid Advertising: Take ownership of Unagi's paid advertising channels. Perform advanced ad optimizations, explore new ways of attribution in a cookieless world, and reduce our long-term reliance on paid channels in favor of sustainable organic growth channels.

  • Monitoring: Use our business intelligence tool (Sigma) & Google Analytics to create key funnel reports and watch our funnel, CAC, ad spend, traffic, and other key metrics like a hawk.

  • Testing & Optimization: Regularly test new audiences, ad platforms, ad copy, and any possible variations to ensure we're getting the right messages to the right people.

  • New Platforms: Discover and test new ad channels such as podcasts, TikTok, Snapchat, Bing Ads, and other platforms where we don't currently advertise but can reach our customers.

  • Informed: Stay up to date with the latest changes to our key ad platforms, MarTech, and the digital ads landscape.

  • Internationalization: Support expanding Unagi's brand and sales into key regions outside the US including Europe, the UK, Australia, and Canada.


What you'll bring

  • Operated within, and led, a growth marketing organization where the business is growing quickly

  • Demonstrated experience in leading performance marketing, managing teams and providing leadership in a growth-oriented company

  • Successful track record of creating and implementing growth strategies

  • Excellent advisory skills with the ability to delivery meaningful advice on different communication/marketing strategies by using clear and concise language

  • Experience leveraging data and marketing analytics to provide insights and make recommendations to reach customer and channel partners in new ways

  • Proven track record overseeing ROI on brand marketing initiatives with clear successes via measurable research and results

  • Success implementing multi-touch attribution models for lead nurturing

  • Strategic thinker yet hands-on, while thriving in the use of data to drive decisions

  • Can adhere to our company’s core values which include understanding the perspectives and circumstances of our customers, we are tireless and persistent, we are always learning, and we are open and honest

  • Belief in the power of the brand and experience generating demand with it

  • A credible speaker with ability to connect and collaborate with a wide range of audiences and media outlets

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
